Design Culture


Daniel Unger initiated the research project "Status quo: Corporate Design – Von der visuellen Gleichförmigkeit und grafischen Beliebigkeit (about visual uniformity and graphic arbitrariness)" in 2008.

Keywords are – amongst others – identity, identification, image, representation, self-affiliation, personality, positioning, simulacrum and many more. The resulting book will be published end of 2011.

Nurtured with these results he will set up an Corporate Design Conference that will invite designers amd other specialists to collaborate on pushing boundaries in Corporate Identity and especially Corporate Design.

As he is willing to realize this conference in 2012, interested people are very welcome to get in touch for contribution such as proposals to lectures, workshops etc. and sponsors for supporting this challenge.

Besides this academic approach, he works in Stuttgart (Germany) and Zurich (Switzerland) as freelance Art Director and Communication Designer and founded "The Mobile Institute for Design Research (MIDER)" in 2010.
